Jane Levy and Mary Steenburgen to Star in NBC Musical Pilot From First Date Writer

Jane Levy and Mary Steenburgen will star in the upcoming NBC musical pilot Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist. The pilot is created by from Austin Winsberg, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, Feigco, Universal Music Group, and Lionsgate TV.

Written by Winsberg (Broadway's First Date) and directed by Richard Shepard, the pilot tells the story of Zoey, a socially awkward twentysomething who is able to hear the inner thoughts of the people around her as songs and musical numbers. Levy will take on the title role, with Steenburgen as her mother.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist has not yet received a series order.
