O’Hara starred in Brown’s ”The Bridges of Madison County” on Broadway.
A second SubCulture concert performance featuring Tony-winning composer Jason Robert Brown (Honeymoon in Vegas) and Tony Award winner performer Kelli O'Hara (The King and I) has been added to Brown's artist-in-residence series at the venue. The event will take place at 10pm on January 9, following the pair's previously announced concert.
Jason Robert Brown's most recent Broadway offering, Honeymoon in Vegas, played at the Nederlander Theatre last year. He is also the composer behind the musicals Parade, The Bridges of Madison County, and The Last Five Years. A film version of The Last Five Years, starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan, was released in 2015.
Brown's SubCulture residency is currently in its second year. Each performance incorporates a mix of material featuring music from throughout his career, along with new works in development. The series has featured an array of special guests, including Kelli O'Hara, Steve Pasquale, Norbert Leo Butz, Tom Kitt, Tony Danza, Laura Benanti, Cynthia Erivo, Tituss Burgess, Lena Hall, and more.
