Tony Meneses’ new play will be directed by Ken Rus Schmoll.
Two River Theater has announced casting for Tony Meneses' The Women of Padilla, directed by Ken Rus Schmoll. The production will run April 8-30.
The Women of Padilla tells the story of eight women married to eight brothers, all of whom are away fighting an unnamed war that seems as if it has been going on for years and will continue for many more. While each waits for news of her husband’s fate, they carry on and cook and laugh and weep and fight.
The company is made up of Karina Arroyave as Blanca, Helen Cespedes as Lucha, Jacqueline Correa as Mari, Daniella De Jesús as Fidela, Paloma Guzmán as Alejandra, Keren Lugo as Marta, Elizabeth Ramos as Cristina, and Jeanine Serralles as Carmen.
The creative team includes scenic designer Arnulfo Maldonado, costume designer Oana Botez, lighting designer Yuki Nakase, sound designer Jane Shaw, puppet designer James Ortiz, and puppet director Will Gallacher.
