Angela Lansbury will introduce the concert, celebrating the work of Stephen Sondheim.
The Irish Repertory Theatre has announced an initial list of performers set for its 2017 gala, Sondheim at Seven. The event will take place on June 13 at Town Hall, directed and arranged by Charlotte Moore and featuring a full orchestra and chorus under the direction of John Bell.
Introduced by Angela Lansbury, the concert will include performances by Nancy Anderson (Sunset Boulevard), Melissa Errico (Finian's Rainbow), Mark Evans (Finian's Rainbow), Danielle Ferland (Into the Woods), Tony nominee Malcolm Gets (Macbeth), Tony nominee Jeremy Jordan (The Last Five Years), Tony nominee Rebecca Luker (Cinderella), Tony nominee Howard McGillin (Gigi), Ryan Silverman (Side Show), and Tony nominee Max von Essen (An American in Paris), as well as additional surprise guests.
The bill features musical selections from some of Sondheim's most celebrated works including Sweeney Todd, Follies, Into the Woods, Assassins, Gypsy, Passion, A Little Night Music, Company, Merrily We Roll Along, and West Side Story.
The event will honor Carmine D. Boccuzzi Jr., Partner at Cleary Gottlieb LLP, and celebrate the contributions of Ambassador of Ireland to the United States Anne Anderson, Consul General of Ireland in New York Barbara Jones, and Ambassador of Ireland to the United Nations David Donoghue.
