The Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that Tony nominee Jeremy Shamos (Glengarry Glen Ross), Mark Blum (Gore Vidal’s The Best Man), Tony nominee Sam Robards (The 39 Steps), Lauren Blumenfeld (We Are Proud to Present…), Alex Dreier (Billy Elliot), and Jake Silbermann (As The World Turns) will join the previously announced Tony nominee Jessica Hecht (A View From the Bridge) and Tony and Emmy winner Judith Light (Other Desert Cities) in The Assembled Parties, which will be directed by Lynne Meadow (The Other Place). The production with begin previews on March 21 with an April 17 opening at MTC’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
Written by Tony Award winner Richard Greenberg (Three Days of Rain), The Assembled Parties follows an Upper West Side Jewish family whose lives are interrupted by a new guest at their traditional holiday dinner.
The creative team for The Assembled Parties includes Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), and Obadiah Eaves (original music and sound design).
