The nonprofit organization A is For will host the benefit event ”Broadway Acts for Women”.
A is For, a reproductive rights advocacy organization, will present Broadway Acts for Women: A Star-Studded Night of Karaoke and Comedy on May 1 at Broadway supper club Feinstein's/54 Below. The benefit event will be hosted by Saturday Night Live's Cecily Strong.
The evening will feature performances from Broadway stars, actors, and comedians who support access to reproductive health care. The roster of performers includes Emmy nominee Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Fully Committed), Tony Award winner Lena Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Emmy Award winner Martha Plimpton (Raising Hope), Tony nominee Orfeh (Legally Blonde), Emmy nominee Tituss Burgess (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda The Musical), among others. Dan Lipton will lend his musical direction.
Audience members will also have the chance to bid on their favorite Broadway stars singing the song of their choice. Other auction and raffle items include a private concert at your home by Tony winner Michael Cerveris (Fun Home), VIP Tickets for The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, a commissioned portrait by John Lithgow, and more.
