Mueller appeared on ”Today” this morning.
Tony winner Jessie Mueller hit the small screen on June 3 to discuss her 2016 Tony-nominated performance in Sara Bareilles and Jessie Nelson’s Broadway musical Waitress.
Mueller joined Today hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb to share details on her performance in the production, which is inspired by Adrienne Shelley’s 2007 motion picture. Mueller plays Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker who is stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage. When a baking contest in a nearby county offers her a chance at escape, Jenna must weigh her commitments against a rare shot at freedom and recognition.
