Chisholm takes over the role of Alex from Robbie Simpson in S. Asher Gelman’s play.
Midnight Theatricals announced that starting Monday, August 21, Joe Chisholm will join the world premiere production of S. Asher Gelman's Afterglow in The Loft at the Davenport Theatre, taking over the role of Alex from Robbie Simpson (The Path).
Also joining the show is Taylor Wright, who will take over as the show's swing.
Afterglow, which has been extended twice and runs through September 16, is described in a press release as "a one-act play exploring the emotional, intellectual, and physical connections between three men and the broader implications within their relationships. Josh and Alex, a married couple in an open relationship, invite Darius to share their bed one night. When a new intimate connection begins to form, all three men must come to terms with their individual definitions of love, loyalty, and trust as futures are questioned, relationships are shaken, and commitments are challenged."
In addition to Chisholm, the cast features Brandon Haagenson (Beauty and the Beast) and Patrick Reilly (Dating My Mother). Directed by Gelman himself, the creative team includes Ann Beyersdorfer (scenic design), Fabian Aguilar (costume design), Jamie Roderick (lighting design), and Alex Dietz-Kest (sound design).
