The Roundabout Theatre Company production, starring Diane Lane, will feature a script adapted by Stephen Karam.
Casting has been revealed for the upcoming Broadway revival of Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard, starring Academy Award nominee Diane Lane. Directed by Simon Godwin, the Roundabout Theatre Company production will feature a script adapted by Tony winner Stephen Karam (The Humans).
As previously announced, Lane will take on the role of Ranevskaya. She will be joined by Tavi Gevinson (Arthur Miller’s The Crucible.) as Anya, John Glover (Smallville) as Gaev, Celia Keenan-Bolger (Tumacho) as Varya, Harold Perrineau (Lost) as Lopakhin, and Joel Grey (Anything Goes) as Firs.
The production will also feature Tina Benko, Susannah Flood, Maurice Jones, Quinn Mattfeld, Aaron Clifton Moten, Peter Bradbury, Philip Kerr, Lise Bruneau, Jacqueline Jarrold, Ian Lassiter, and Carl Hendrick Louis. Additional casting will be announced.
The creative team includes Scott Pask (sets), Michael Krass (costumes), Donald Holder (lights), Christopher Cronin (sound), Jonathan Goddard (movement), and Nico Muhly (original music).
Performances will begin at the American Airlines Theatre on September 15 in advance of an October 16 opening.
