In American Son by Christopher Demos-Brown, Jamal’s car has been pulled over in the middle of the night. His mother and her estranged husband rush to the police station seeking answers and their son’s whereabouts. With no explanation forthcoming and emotions building, this highly charged drama twists and turns to an explosive conclusion. David Saint directs.
John Bolger stars as Scott Connor. He is joined by Suzzanne Douglas as Kendra Ellis-Connor, Mark Junek as Paul Larkin, and Mark Kenneth Smaltz as Lt. John Stokes.
The creative team includes set designer Jason Simms, costume designer David Murin, lighting designer Tyler Micoleau, and sound designer Christopher J. Bailey. The production stage manager is Thomas Clewell.
Performances continue through February 26.
