John Ellison Conlee Exits the Cast of Spacebar: A Broadway Play by Kyle Sugarman

Christopher Michael McFarland will join the cast of Spacebar: A Broadway Play by Kyle Sugarman, taking over for John Ellison Conlee, who, according to press representatives, had to leave the cast after booking a recurring role in a television series. The performance schedule will remain the same, beginning Friday, October 24, for a limited engagement through Saturday, November 8, at The Wild Project.

Written by Michael Mitnick and directed by Maggie Burrows, the play follows 16-year-old Kyle Sugarman who writes a 456-page play that he's sure will be the biggest hit in the history of Broadway. Escaping to New York to find a home for his magnum opus, Kyle finds himself facing off with a flighty producer, while also dealing with the absence of his deadbeat father and flirtations with the Captain of the Girls Swim Team back at home.

The cast features Will Connolly (Once), John Doherty (A Bright New Boise), Willa Fitzgerald (MTV's Scream), Ana Kayne (The Club), Christopher Michael McFarland (As You Like It), and Morgan Ritchie (The Seagull).
