John Leguizamo (Latin History for Morons) will host the 63rd annual Obie Awards, to be presented Monday, May 21, at Terminal 5.
The Obies, which recognize off-Broadway artists and productions worthy of distinction, were originally created by the Village Voice. The American Theatre Wing, founder of the Tony Awards, has partnered with the Voice to copresent the Obies.
Members of this year's judging committee include chairperson Michael Feingold, critics Melissa Rose Bernardo and Charles Isherwood, designers Wendall K. Harrington and Toni-Leslie James, and performers Sondra Lee, Arian Moayed, and Ching Valdes-Aran.
