John Malkovich will join Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer in Warm Bodies, according to published reports. Jonathan Levine will direct the project.
The movie, based on a novel by Isaac Marion, centers on a zombie (Hoult) who rediscovers his soul through a relationship with a human girl (Palmer). Malkovich will play the young woman’s father.
Malkovich’s many stage credits include Burn This, True West, Death of a Salesman, and The Caretaker. As previously reported, he will appear in The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a serial killer at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in November.
He is also a two-time Oscar nominee. Among his many film credits are Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Dangerous Liaisons, In the Line of Fire, and Places in the Heart.
