The Indiegogo campaign will raise funds to allow underprivileged students to be a part of the program’s youth ensemble.
Broadway Bound Kids, an educational arts organization and youth theater ensemble, has launched an international crowd-funding campaign to raise funds so that underprivileged students can be a part of the program’s youth ensemble, The Broadway Bound Players. The fundraiser, which began on December 3, is using the Indiegogo platform and will run through the beginning of January.
Students participating in the Broadway Bound Players program receive musical-theater training from professional teaching artists and perform in a full-scale musical. Participating students are also involved in creating props, sets, and costumes for the production. The program is open to students between 4th-8th grades. It begins in February 2014.
