Casting is now complete for the Broadway production of Theresa Rebeck’s new comedy, Dead Accounts. Jack O’Brien directs the production which starts previews Saturday, November 3 at the Music Box Theatre with an opening set for Thursday, November 29.
As previously reported, the play stars Norbert Leo Butz and Katie Holmes, who will be joined by the newly announced Judy Greer, Josh Hamilton, and Jayne Houdyshell.
In the play, Butz’s character, Jack, makes an unexpected return to his family, prompting serious questions from his sister (played by Holmes) regarding a rather large sum of money he brings with him and the status of his missing wife.
Greer will be making her Broadway debut, and previously appeared on stage Off-Broadway in Show People. She is perhaps best known for her work in the Oscar-winning film The Descendents.
Hamilton has previously appeared on Broadway in The Coast of Utopia trilogy and Proof. He was nominated for Drama Desk and Lortel awards for his performance in the 2005 revival of Hurlyburly.
Houdyshell is a two-time Tony nominee for Well and this past season’s Follies. She is currently appearing Off-Broadway in Harrison, TX.
