New cast members have also been announced to join the cast led by Tony winner Michael Cerveris.
Additional cast members have been announced to join Tony winner Michael Cerveris in Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori's new musical Fun Home when it premieres on Broadway this spring. Preview performances are set to begin at the Circle in the Square Theatre on March 27, with an official opening night set for April 19. Sam Gold directs.
Judy Kuhn, Beth Malone, Obie Award-winner Sydney Lucas, Emily Skeggs, and more will reprise their roles from this spring's acclaimed production of the musical at the Public Theater. Joel Perez and Roberta Colindrez will also return to the cast, with Zell Morrow and Oscar Williams joining the production as Alison’s brothers John and Christian, respectively.
Inspired by Alison Bechdel's graphic novel-memoir of the same title, Fun Home follows the real-life Bechdel's journey to accept the death of her stern, closeted father, Bruce, while coming to terms with her own sexuality.
The creative team of Fun Home will included Danny Mefford (choreography), David Zinn (set and costume design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Kai Harada (sound design), and Chris Fenwick (music direction).
