Kuhn will play out the Broadway run, which ends on December 31.
Four-time Tony nominee Judy Kuhn has joined the Broadway cast of Fiddler on the Roof as family matriarch Golde, taking over the role from original cast member Jessica Hecht. The production has released photos of Kuhn in the role, which she will perform through Fiddler's final performance on December 31.
The current cast also stars six-time Tony nominee Danny Burstein as Tevye and Tony nominee Jessica Hecht as Golde, along with Adam Dannheisser (Lazar Wolf), Adam Kantor (Motel), Karl Kenzler (Constable), Alix Korey (Yente), Samantha Massell (Hodel), Melanie Moore (Chava), George Psomas (Avram), Ben Rappaport (Perchik), Nick Rehberger (Fyedka), and Alexandra Silber (Tzeitel).
Directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher, the revival production opened on December 20, 2015, at the Broadway Theatre, earning three Tony nominations, including Best Revival of a Musical. Featuring a book by Joseph Stein and a score by Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, Fiddler on the Roof is inspired by Sholom Alecheim's stories of the milkman Tevye.
