Juilliard’s Drama Division has announced the complete schedule for its 2012-2013 season of fully-staged productions featuring fourth-year of acting students.
The season will feature Stephen Belber’s McReele (October 17-21), which focuses on Delaware journalist Rick Dayne, who meets “bright as hell” death row inmate Darius McReele. Sam Buntrock will direct. Next, Marcela Lorca will direct Sarah Ruhl’s The Clean House (November 8-12), a tale about a grief-stricken Brazilian housekeeper that dreams of finding the funniest joke in the world. Finally, Julliard’s Drama Division will present Martin McDonagh’s The Cripple of Inishmaan (December 6-10), a bleakly comic tale filled with an array of eccentric characters, directed by Pam Berlin.
The Drama Division will also present the 4th year repertory, February 13-24. The repertory will include Williams in Transit, short plays by Tennessee Williams, directed by Jonathan Rosenberg; Suzan-Lori Parks’ Topdog/Underdog, which won the 2004 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2005, directed by Erica Schmidt; and William Shakespeare’s Pericles, directed by Orlando Pabotoy.
Juilliard fourth-year actors appearing in these productions are Helen Cespedes, Fiona Cheung, Tom Datnow, Phoebe Dunn, Adam Farabee, Danny Hernandez, Jenny Leona, Katharine Luray, Michael James Shaw, Ali Sohaili, Andrea Syglowski, Jeremy Tardy, Natasha Warner, Kerry Warren, Noah Witke, and Katherine Ella Wood.
