The Emmy nominee will return to the stage in ”Hold On to Me Darling”.
Emmy nominee Timothy Olyphant (Justified, The Santaland Diaries) will return to the stage in Hold On to Me Darling, a new play from Oscar nominee Kenneth Lonergan (This Is Our Youth). The Atlantic Theater Company production, under the direction of Neil Pepe, runs February 24-April 3. Opening night is set for March 14.
Olyphant will play Strings McCrane, a country and western star who begins questioning the meaning of his life upon learning of his mother's death. Determined to abandon his celebrity and career, he moves back to his hometown in Tennessee. It doesn't go well.
Joining Olyphant in the company are (in alphabetical order) Adelaide Clemens (The Great Gatsby), Tony nominee Jonathan Hogan (As Is), Jenn Lyon (Fish in the Dark), Keith Nobbs (The Legend of Georgia McBride), and C.J. Wilson (Bronx Bombers).
Hold On to Me Darling will feature scenic design by Walt Spangler, costume design by Suttirat Larlarb, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt, and sound design by David Van Tieghem.
