Tony and Grammy winner Karen Olivo announced that she will release a debut solo album, Leave, on November 28. The album will not only feature her interpretations of Broadway songs — such as "Leave" from Once and "Your Eyes" from Rent — but also an original written by Olivo herself.

"This album is my best attempt to record a place in time," Olivo said in a statement. "I chose to explore the departure from my failed marriage using the framework of a medium I know and love."

Olivo originated the role of Vanessa in the Tony-winning musical In the Heights and won a Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance as Anita in West Side Story. On television, she has been seen on Harry's Law and The Good Wife.
