
Katharine Houghton and Robert Eli will star in Cause Celebrè’s production of Tennessee Williams’ The Pretty Trap, to run August 2-August 21 at The Acorn Theatre on Theatre Row. Antony Marseillis will direct.
The play is a one-act version of Williams’ classic The Glass Menagerie and centers on a woman who is awaiting the arrival of her daughter’s gentleman caller.
Houghton’s Broadway credits include A Very Rich Woman, Where’s Daddy, The Front Page and Our Town. In addition, she received an Obie Award for her performance in Scent of Flowers. She starred in the film Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?.
Eli’s stage credits include Tartuffe, Saturn Returns, It’s a Dry Heat, John Gabriel Borkman, and The Antioch Rules.
