The New York premiere of Georgie: My Adventures with George Rose, a new play written by and starring Ed Dixon, celebrated its opening night on February 1 at the Loft at Davenport Theatre. The limited engagement will run through April 15.
Directed by Eric Schaeffer, who helmed the world premiere at Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia, this past January, Georgie: My Adventures With George Rose is a one-act, solo play that chronicles Dixon's 20-year friendship with George Rose. A two-time Tony Award-winning character actor, Rose starred on Broadway and London stages alongside luminaries like Katharine Hepburn, Noël Coward, Dame Edith Evans, Richard Burton, and Laurence Olivier.
