Katrina Lenk and Will Pullen have each received a 2017 Clarence Derwent Award from Actors' Equity Foundation.

Lenk received the honor for her work in two productions this season, Paula Vogel's Tony-nominated drama Indecent and David Yazbek and Itamar Moses's musical The Band's Visit. Pullen was given the award for his work in Lynn Nottage's Sweat.

At the same time, the Foundation honored two longtime Broadway vets, Barbara Barrie and Anthony Chisholm, with the 2017 Richard Seff Award. Barrie returned to Broadway after decades in Joshua Harmon's Significant Other earlier this year, while Chisholm was part of the ensemble cast of August Wilson's Jitney.

The Richard Seff Award was established to acknowledge a veteran male and female character actor for the best performance in a supporting role in a Broadway or off-Broadway production. The Derwent Award is presented to the most promising female and male performers on the New York metropolitan scene. Both awards were presented on June 13.
