The concert kicked off Brown’s tenure as an artist-in-residence at the swanky venue.
Three-time Tony-winning composer/lyricist/orchestrator Jason Robert Brown kicked off an artist-in-residency program at SubCulture on December 6 with an expansive concert featuring songs and performers from all of his musicals.
Backed by a 10-piece band, Brown's 90-minute set included songs from The Bridges of Madison County, Parade, 13, The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, and Honeymoon in Vegas, performed by Kelli O'Hara, Steven Pasquale, Carolee Carmello, Jessica Molaskey, Lauren Kennedy, Betsy Wolfe, Allie Trimm, Graham Phillips, Aaron Simon Gross, Jeremy Jordan, and Anika Noni Rose.

As part of his tenure at SubCulture, Brown, who won Tonys for Parade (best original score) and The Bridges of Madison County (best original score and best orchestrations), will perform monthly concerts at the 45 Bleecker Street venue. Dates will be announced.
