Kline began his career with the famous theatrical touring organization.
Oscar and Tony winner Kevin Kline will host an April 8 talkback following a performance of the Acting Company's productions of Shakespeare's Macbeth and Mark Twain’s A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court. The New York run of the productions is April 1-12 at the Pearl Theatre and come after a national tour.
Kline was a founding member of the Acting Company, which began in 1972 and has toured 139 productions to 48 states and 10 foreign countries. He received an Oscar for his performance in A Fish Called Wanda and appeared on Broadway in Cyrano de Bergerac, Henry IV, The Pirates of Penzance, and On the Twentieth Century, for which he won a Tony Award.
"There is nothing else like The Acting Company in America," Kline said in a statement. "It completely shaped my sense of who I am as an actor. I began my career touring the country with the Company and now serve on its Board of Directors."
