Kinky Boots Star Billy Porter Honored at the NYMF Annual Gala

The New York Musical Theatre Festival honored 2013 Tony Award winner Billy Porter at its 10th Annual Gala on November 10 at the Hudson Theatre. Porter, who currently stars as the fabulous drag queen Lola in Broadway's Kinky Boots, was honored for his many contributions to musical theater as an actor, singer, and director on and off-Broadway. The event featured performances by NYMF alumni and more. Recent NYMF star Susan Blackwell ([title of show]) served as host.
