The eight-part series will be shot in France and feature original music by Glen Ballard.
Deadline Hollywood reports that Oscar-winning La La Land director Damien Chazelle is teaming up with Netflix and IMG for The Eddy, an eight-part series written by Jack Thorne. Chazelle will direct two of the episodes.
The show will be set in present-day Paris and will revolve "around a club, its owner, the house band, and the chaotic city that surrounds them," according to Deadline Hollywood.
Glen Ballard (Ghost The Musical) will write original music for the show. He will also be an executive producer alongside Chazelle, Thorne, Alan Poul (Six Feet Under), and Fifty Fathoms's Patrick Spence and Katie Swinden.
