The Play Company will present Stefano Massini's Intractable Woman: A Theatrical Memo on Anna Politkovskaya, September 13-October 14 at 122CC.

Directed by Lee Sunday Evans, the play is translated by Paula Wing, and explores the life and death of journalist and human rights activist Anna Politkovskaya, who spent seven years exposing government suppression and the atrocities of war in Chechnya.

Evans's production will star Nadine Malouf, Nicole Shalhoub, and Stacey Yen.

The production marks the American debut of playwright Massini, a prominent Italian writer, director, and artistic head of Milan's renowned Piccolo Teatro.
