The evening helped kick off Hispanic Heritage Month.
The Broadway League kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with a Viva Broadway outdoor concert in Duffy Square on Friday, September 15. The concert was hosted by John Leguizamo (Latin History for Morons) and Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton).
The program featured performances by Ana Villafañe and cast members from On Your Feet!, Rodney Ingram (The Phantom of the Opera), Emma Pfaeffle (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and Hamilton's Mandy Gonzalez. Check out TheaterMania's photos in the gallery below.
Viva Broadway is an audience development partnership with the Hispanic community to help bridge the world of Broadway with Latino audiences around the country. The long-term initiative aims to increase awareness about Broadway while culturally enriching lives, bringing families together, and building new careers in the theater.
