The marquee and front-of-house signage for the acclaimed new musical has gone up.
Hamilton has taken over Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre. Lin-Manuel Miranda's new musical, which explores the life of one of American's founding fathers, moves into its uptown digs after an acclaimed run at the Public Theater beginning July 13, with opening night set for August 6.
A rap and hip-hop opera inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail and features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg, music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler. The full Broadway cast will be revealed in the coming months.
