Lincoln Center Theater has announced its first two productions of 2018.

Admissions, a new play written by Joshua Harmon (Bad Jews) and directed by Daniel Aukin, will begin a run on February 15 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, with opening night set for March 12. In the play, "Sherri Rosen-Mason is head of the admissions department at the Hillcrest School, fighting to diversify the student body. And alongside her husband, the school's headmaster, they've largely succeeded in bringing a stodgy institution into the 21st century. But when their only son sets his sights on an Ivy League university, personal ambition collides with progressive values, with convulsive results." The creative team will include Riccardo Hernandez (sets), Toni Leslie-James (costumes), Mark Barton (lighting), and Ryan Rumery (sound).

And queens, a new play written by Martyna Majok and directed by Danya Taymor, will run February 10-March 25 at the Claire Tow Theater, with opening night set for February 26. In the play, "the lives of two generations of immigrant women collide in a basement apartment. When the choices they’ve made about their security, dignity, and desires come back to haunt them, they must ask: What cannot — and should not — be left behind?" The creative team will include Laura Jellinek (sets), Kaye Voyce (costumes), Matt Frey (lighting), and Stowe Nelson (sound).

Casting for both productions will be announced later.
