Lincoln Center Theater's Acclaimed Oslo Will Transfer to Broadway

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that J.T. Rogers’ new play Oslo, now running at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater through August 28, will move to Broadway's Vivian Beaumont Theatre in the spring of 2017. Performances are set to begin March 23, 2017, in advance of an April 13 opening.

Directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher (Fiddler on the Roof), the Broadway mounting will feature the production’s original cast: Michael Aronov, Anthony Azizi, Adam Dannheisser, Jennifer Ehle, Daniel Jenkins, Dariush Kashani, Jeb Kreager, Jefferson Mays, Christopher McHale, Daniel Oreskes, Angela Pierce, Henny Russell, Joseph Siravo, and T. Ryder Smith. The production will once again have sets by Michael Yeargan, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Donald Holder, sound by Peter John Still, and projections by 59 Productions.

Described as a darkly comic epic, Oslo tells the story of how Norwegian diplomat Mona Juul and her husband, social scientist Terje Rød-Larsen, planned and orchestrated top-secret, high-level meetings between the State of Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, which culminated in the signing of the historic 1993 Oslo Accords.
