Anne Kauffman directs the new play by Jordan Harrison at Playwrights Horizons.
The first photos have been released from Playwrights Horizons' New York premiere of 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist Marjorie Prime, written by Jordan Harrison. Directed by Obie Award winner Anne Kauffman, the currently running production will play through January 3.
In Marjorie Prime, it’s the age of artificial intelligence, and 86-year-old Marjorie has a handsome new companion who’s programmed to feed the story of her life back to her. The play explores "the mysteries of human identity and the limits – if any – of what technology can replace."
The cast features Noah Bean, Lisa Emery, Stephen Root, and two-time Tony Award nominee Lois Smith, who will reprise her role in the upcoming film adaptation of Marjorie Prime, written and directed by Michael Almereyda.
