The annual fundraiser, hosted by Julie Halston, took place at the Edison Ballroom on Monday, February 27.
Julie Halston (Murder on the Orient Express) hosted the seventh annual Broadway Belts for PFF! last night, Monday, February 27 at The Edison Ballroom. A host of stars came together to sing at the fundraiser to benefit the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Carl Andress (The Divine Sister) directed the evening with Christopher McGovern (Cagney) as musical director and music supervision by Ed Windels. Check out photos from the evening in the gallery below.
The stars who contributed by performing some of their favorite songs include James Snyder (In Transit), T. Oliver Reid (Sunset Boulevard), Orfeh (Legally Blonde), Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), Mario Cantone (The View), Robert Creighton (Cagney), Mandy Gonzalez (Hamilton), Randy Graff (City of Angels), Stephanie Mills (The Wiz), Gus Rosendale, and Lucas Steele (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812).
Halston, in addition to hosting, founded the event in 2010 as a tribute to Michael Kuchwara, Broadway theater critic of the Associated Press, who died of pulmonary fibrosis. To date, Broadway Belts for PFF! has raised nearly $500,000 for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, and is its single largest fundraiser.
