Manhattan Theatre Club has announced the lineup for this spring’s Ted Snowdon Reading Series, kicking off February 12. Readings will be held on Mondays through March 12 with the exception of Presidents' Day, February 19. All readings are free and open to the public (R.S.V.P.s required).

Now in its 20th year, this rehearsed reading series is dedicated to the support and development of innovative new work, offering each playwright a weeklong rehearsal period with directors and actors. This year, the series will feature four new plays as well as a sneak peek of one of MTC's upcoming productions that will be featured in the 2018-19 season.

The 2018 Ted Snowdon Reading Series schedule is as follows: Nan and the Lower Body (The Pap Smear Play), written by Jessica Dickey and directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch (February 12 at 11am); Redwood, written by Brittany K. Allen and directed by Moritz von Stuelpnagel (February 26 at 4pm); There’s Always the Hudson, written by Paola Lázaro (March 5 at 4pm); Adia and Clora Snatch Joy, written by Mfoniso Udofia and directed by Awoye Timpo (March 12 at 4pm); and India Pale Ale, written by Jaclyn Backhaus and directed by Will Davis (February 12 at 4pm). India Pale Ale will have its world-premiere production at MTC's New York City Center – Stage I in October.
