The three-time Tony nominee will step into the shoes of Anna Leonowens in Lincoln Center Theater’s revival.
Three-time Tony nominee Marin Mazzie (Bullets Over Broadway, Ragtime) will assume the role of Anna Leonowens in The King and I at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre beginning May 3. Kelli O'Hara, who won a 2015 Tony Award for her performance, will play her final show on April 17. Analisa Leaming will play the role in the interim.
As previously reported, Ken Watanabe, who originated the role of the King of Siam in the production, will return on March 17. Hoon Lee, who is currently playing the role, will play his final performance on March 16. Daniel Dae Kim will play his first performance as the King on May 3, the same night Mazzie begins as Anna.
Directed by Bartlett Sher, The King and I also features a 48-member company including 2015 Tony winner Ruthie Ann Miles as Lady Thiang, Ashley Park as Tuptim, Conrad Ricamora as Lun Tha, Edward Baker-Duly as Sir Edward Ramsey, Jon Viktor Corpuz as Prince Chulalongkorn, Murphy Guyer as Captain Orton, Paul Nakauchi as Kralahome, and Marc Oka as Phra Alack.
