The ”Dancing With the Stars” favorite makes his Broadway debut.
Dancing With the Stars favorite Mark Ballas made his Broadway debut as Frankie Valli in the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys on October 18 at the August Wilson Theatre.
The musical — written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe — tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi, and includes dozens of their popular hits including "Walk Like a Man," "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Oh What a Night," and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."
Jersey Boys opened on Broadway on November 6, 2005, after playing an out-of-town tryout run at the La Jolla Playhouse. A film version directed by Clint Eastwood was released in 2014. The Broadway mounting will end its run after 11 years in January.
