Joe DiPietro's comedy Clever Little Lies will end its run at the Westside Theatre on January 24 after 28 previews and 120 regular performances. The production, which premiered at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse in 2013, was originally announced as a limited engagement through January 3, and was subsequently extended through March 20.
Directed by David Saint, Clever Little Lies follows a family as a web of secrets and lies is unraveled when Alice (Marlo Thomas) notices her beloved husband, Bill (Greg Mullavey), has returned home on edge after a tennis match with their son. Over the course of an evening, a confidence shared between a father and son escalates into an unexpected revelation.
The cast is led by Marlo Thomas, who reprises her starring turn as family matriarch Alice alongside fellow original cast members Kate Wetherhead and Greg Mullavey. George Merrick completes the company.
The design team for Clever Little Lies includes Yoshi Tanokura (scenic design), Esther Arroyo (costume design), Christopher J. Bailey (lighting design), and Scott Killian (sound design and composition).
