Roundabout Theatre Company's production of Scott McPherson's Marvin's Room opens tonight at the American Airlines Theatre. Obie winner Anne Kauffman directs the show, which stars Lili Taylor (Six Feet Under) as Bessie, Janeane Garofalo (Wet Hot American Summer) as Lee, and Tony nominee Celia Weston (The Last Night of Ballyhoo) as Ruth.

Marvin's Room follows estranged sisters Lee and Bessie. Lee is a single mother who's been busy raising her troubled teenage son, Hank. Bessie's got her hands full with their elderly father and his soap opera-obsessed sister. When Bessie is diagnosed with leukemia, the two women reunite for the first time in 18 years.

The company features Carman Lacivita as Bob/Marvin, Jack DiFalco as Hank, Nedra McClyde as Dr. Charlotte/Retirement Director, Luca Padovan as Charlie, and Triney Sandoval as Dr. Wally. The creative team includes Laura Jellinek (sets), Jessica Pabst (costumes), Japhy Weideman (lights), and Daniel Kluger (original music and sound).
