Christopher Shinn’s new play celebrates its opening night at Second Stage.
Dying City, a new play by Christopher Shinn, opened off-Broadway last night at Second Stage Theater. Directed by Shinn, performances run through June 30.
Dying City's two-person cast features Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Colin Woodell. The story is set in a sparse Manhattan apartment, where a young widow receives an unexpected visit from the twin brother of her deceased husband. The work is described as "exploring the human fallout of global events, including the Iraq War and the terrorist attacks of 9/11, through the interwoven stories of three unforgettable characters."
The full creative team for Dying City includes scenic design by Dane Laffrey, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, and sound design by Bray Poor.
