Plunkett will star in ”Juno and the Paycock”.
Irish Repertory Theatre has announced casting for its season devoted to the work of playwright Sean O'Casey, culminating in a repertory run of three different productions.
The season will include three of O'Casey's most important works: The Shadow of a Gunman, directed by Ciarán O'Reilly (January 31-March 3 & March 29-April 2), Juno and the Paycock, directed by Neil Pepe (March 9-28, with several additional performances), and The Plough and the Stars, directed by Charlotte Moore (April 20-May 10), with several additional performances).
The repertory cast for The O'Casey Cycle will feature Una Clancy, Terry Donnelly, Rory Duffy, Meg Hennessy, John Keating, Robert Langdon Lloyd, Ed Malone, Michael Mellamphy, James Russell, and Harry Smith. Ciarán O'Reilly will appear in Juno and the Paycock, and Tony Award winner Maryann Plunkett and Sarah Street will appear in both Juno and the Paycock and The Plough and the Stars. Additional casting for The Plough and the Stars will be announced at a later date.
The O'Casey Cycle will feature scenic design by Charlie Corcoran, costume design by Linda Fisher and David Toser, lighting design by Michael Gottlieb, sound design by Ryan Rumery and M. Florian Staab, and properties by Deirdre Brennan.
