Irish Repertory Theatre has extended its production of Conor McPherson's The Seafarer through May 24. Performances began on March 30 and opening night is set for April 18.

Directed by Ciarán O'Reilly, the production stars two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick as Mr. Lockhart, opposite Andy Murray as Sharky, Colin McPhillamy as Richard, Michael Mellamphy as Ivan, and Tim Ruddy as Nicky. The production features set design by Charlie Corcoran, lighting design by Brian Nason, costume design by Martha Halley, sound design by Ryan Rumery & M. Florian Staab, and original music by Ryan Rumery.

The Olivier- and Tony-nominated drama is described as follows: "After losing yet another job, Sharky has returned home to Dublin to build a new, sober existence with his cantankerous elder brother, Richard, recently blinded in a drunken accident. But it's Christmas Eve, and the drinks are flowing as old friends convene for an annual game of poker. This year, an immortal stranger from Sharky's past arrives, raising the stakes to eternal consequence."
