Casting has been announced for an upcoming staged reading of Sharpies, a new comedy by Eugene Pack. The event, which will be presented as part of Guild Hall's Staged Reading Series in East Hampton, will take place on August 20 at 8pm.
The reading's cast will include Vanessa Williams, Matthew Broderick, Blythe Danner, Carol Kane, Dayle Reyfel, Sawyer Spielberg, Chloe Dirksen, Christian Scheider, and more. The evening will be introduced by comedian Joy Behar, and a portion of the proceeds from this reading will benefit The Felix Organization, a group that provides opportunities and new experiences to enrich the lives of children who are growing up in the foster-care system.
Sharpies follows a group of iconic celebrities at an autograph-signing convention weekend in Milwaukee. Eugene Pack is a producer, actor, and playwright who created the long-running off-Broadway comedy show Celebrity Autobiography, in which he also performs. In 2009, Pack won a Drama Desk Award for producing Celebrity Autobiography.
