The pair will take on the roles of Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam.
The new stars of Broadway's The King and I, three-time Tony nominee Marin Mazzie (Bullets Over Broadway) and Daniel Dae Kim (Lost), met the press at their rehearsal studio on April 20.
Mazzie and Kim will play their first performances as Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on May 3. They replace Kelli O'Hara, who won a Tony for her performance, and Ken Watanabe, both of whom departed on April 17. Analisa Leaming and Jose Llana are playing the roles in the interim.
Directed by Bartlett Sher, The King and I also features a 48-member company including 2015 Tony winner Ruthie Ann Miles as Lady Thiang, Ashley Park as Tuptim, Conrad Ricamora as Lun Tha, and Edward Baker-Duly as Sir Edward Ramsey.
