Meet Nathaniel Parker, Lydia Leonard, Ben Miles, and the Stars of Wolf Hall

The stars of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Wolf Hall Parts: One & Two met the press at the British Residence at the British Consulate on Monday, March 9. The productions, directed by Jeremy Herrin, begin performances March 20 at the Winter Garden Theatre, with an opening set for April 9.

The two plays are adapted by Mike Poulton from Hilary Mantel's Man Booker Prize-winning novels Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies. Set in the 1500s, the plays tell the story of Thomas Cromwell and his rise to power to become the right-hand man of Henry VIII, as well as Cromwell's interactions with Anne Boleyn.

Wolf Hall: Parts One & Two, the recipient of five Olivier Award nominations including Best New Play, originated at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon and transferred to the West End's Aldwych Theatre in May 2014. The West End run concluded on September 6. The productions feature scenic and costume design by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Paule Constable (Part One) and David Plater (Part Two), sound design by Nick Powell, and music by Stephen Warbeck.
