The 20th-anniversary touring company of Jonathan Larson's musical Rent met the press at their rehearsal studio on April 24.

The cast is made up of Danny Kornfeld as Mark Cohen, Kaleb Wells as Roger Davis, Skyler Volpe as Mimi Marquez, Aaron Harrington as Tom Collins, David Merino as Angel Dumott Schunard, Katie LaMark as Maureen Johnson, Jasmine Easler as Joanne Jefferson, Christian Thompson as Benjamin Coffin III, John Devereaux, Bryson Bruce, Tim Ehrlich, Sammy Ferber, Paola Hernandez, Alia Hodge, Natalie Lipin, Jordan Long, Michael McClure, Timothy McNeill, Futaba Shioda, and Alexis Louise Young.

Based on original direction by Michael Greif, Evan Ensign will restage the show for the tour. Original Broadway creatives Marlies Yearby (choreography), Angela Wendt (costume design), and Tim Weil (music supervision and additional arrangements) will be joined by Jonathan Spencer (lighting design), Keith Caggiano (sound design), MiRi Park (associate choreographer), and Matthew E. Maraffi (adapting original scenic design by Paul Clay) to make up the creative team for the tour.

A re-imagining of Puccini's La Bohème, Rent follows a year in the lives of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams without selling out. With its inspiring message of joy and hope in the face of fear, the musical is a celebration of friendship and creativity. The show received its world premiere off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop on February 13, 1996, and transferred to Broadway on April 29, 1996. Rent is winner of the 1996 Tony Award for Best Musical as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
