Meet the Puppet Tyrone and the Human Cast of Off-Broadway's Hand to God

The human and puppet cast of Robert Askins' dark comedy Hand to God met the press on Tuesday, January 21, at their rehearsal studio. Moritz von Stuelpnagel directs the MCC Theater production, which begins performances February 19 at the Lucille Lortel Theatre after an acclaimed, extended run at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in 2011.

Steven Boyer leads the company of Hand to God as Jason, a young student at the Christian Puppet Ministry in Cypress, Texas, whose life is taken over by a foulmouthed sock puppet named Tyrone. Also featured in the cast are Sarah Stiles, Geneva Carr, Michael Oberholtzer, and Marc Kudisch.
