The ”Supergirl” star makes her Broadway debut in a limited run through August 4.
Melissa Benoist, star of the CW's Supergirl, took her first bows for her Broadway debut role as Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical on Tuesday, June 12, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
In addition to her starring role on Supergirl, Benoist also recently starred in the six-part event series Waco, based on the true story of the 51-day standoff in Waco, Texas. She first became known to musical and television fans with her starring role as Marley Rose on seasons 4 and 5 of Fox's hit show Glee.
Benoist will play a limited run through August 4, with long-running star Chilina Kennedy returning to the role later that month.
