Charlotte Moore directs the production at the Irish Repertory Theatre.
The Irish Repertory Theatre's new revival of the classic musical Finian's Rainbow, starring Tony nominee Melissa Errico, celebrated its opening night on November 6.
Errico, who starred in Irish Rep's 2004 production of the tuner, reprises her role as Sharon, which she returned to earlier this year in a benefit concert for the company. Artistic director Charlotte Moore stages the production, which began previews on October 26 and runs through December 18.
She is joined by Ryan Silverman (Passion) as Woody, Mark Evans (Ghost) as Og, Ken Jennings (Sweeney Todd) as Finian, William Bellamy as a Gospeleer, Kimberly Doreen Burns as Lilly Mae, Dewey Caddell as Senator, Peyton Crim as Sheriff, Matt Gibson as Buzz Collins, Angela Grovey as Sallyann, Ramone Owens as a Gospeleer, Kyle Taylor Parker as a Gospeleer, and Lyrica Woodruff as Susan the Silent.
The 1947 musical was written by Burton Lane (music), E.Y. Harburg (book and lyrics), and Fred Saidy (book). The current Irish Rep production has choreography by Barry McNabb, scenic design by James Morgan, costume design by David Toser, lighting design by Mary Jo Dondlinger, musical supervision by John Bell, and dialect coaching by Stephen Gabis.
