The rarely seen 1965 musical is the only collaboration between Richard Rodgers (music) and Stephen Sondheim (lyrics). It tells the romantic tale of Leona Samish (Errico), a middle-class American woman who uses her meager savings for a long-dreamed-of trip to Venice, where she finds love, life, and her truest self. The musical is based on the play The Time of the Cuckoo by Arthur Laurents and features a book by Laurents. The show will be choreographed by Chase Brock, with music direction by Rob Berman.
