Casting has been announced for the upcoming Encores! production of Do I Hear a Waltz?, directed by Evan Cabnet. Performances will run at New York City Center from May 11-15.

The cast will feature Drama Desk nominee Claybourne Elder (Bonnie and Clyde) as Eddie Yaeger, Tony nominee Melissa Errico (Amour) as Leona Samish, Tony nominee Sarah Stiles (Hand to God) as Giovanna, and Richard Troxell (Rigoletto) as Renato Di Rossi, along with Sarah Hunt (The Last Ship), Zachary Infante (School of Rock), Cass Morgan (The Bridges of Madison County), Richard Poe (All the Way), and Michael Rosen (On the Town). The ensemble also includes Kristine Bendul, Paloma Garcia-Lee, Jenny Laroche, Jennifer Locke, Nathan Madden, Skye Mattox, Devin Roberts, Manny Stark, and Alex Wong.

The rarely seen 1965 musical is the only collaboration between Richard Rodgers (music) and Stephen Sondheim (lyrics). It tells the romantic tale of Leona Samish (Errico), a middle-class American woman who uses her meager savings for a long-dreamed-of trip to Venice, where she finds love, life, and her truest self. The musical is based on the play The Time of the Cuckoo by Arthur Laurents and features a book by Laurents. The show will be choreographed by Chase Brock, with music direction by Rob Berman.
